Sports Massage

The Sports Massage lasts 45/50 minutes and involves the use of natural oil which can be warming or refreshing as needed. Passive muscle stretching maneuvers or neuromuscular proprioceptive facilitation techniques (PNF) can also be applied. The pre-massage sport involves manual skills useful for adequately heating the tissues and ensuring greater vascularisation, improving the contractile capacity of the muscle and promoting better energy metabolism during performance. Post-sport massage involves manual unloading and lengthening techniques, and is useful for helping the tissues to reduce the accumulation of acids deriving from muscle metabolism and regain the original elasticity, preventing the formation of contractures and inflammation. KINESIOLOGICAL TAPING, applied in a compressive, decompressive or draining mode depending on need, is a valid help in resolving small problems regarding the functionality of muscles and tissues. The FUNCTIONAL BANDAGE, performed with bands or bandages of simple, elastic special fabric and with the aid of anti-edema agents if necessary (zinc oxide etc..) has the aim of making them more rigid and giving the right compression to a traumatized joint.
